Dori Burgess

Dori Burgess is a seasoned nonprofit leader with nearly two decades of experience advancing public health, community development, and civic engagement across the Upstate region of South Carolina. As Exe(seecutive Director of Healthy Smiles of Spartanburg, she leads strategic initiatives to provide free dental care to uninsured children. Dori has held leadership roles with Hub City Roots, the Alzheimer’s Association, and Piedmont Care, driving impact through program expansion, grant acquisition, and volunteer mobilization. She holds a B.S. in Criminal Justice from USC Upstate and certifications as a Dementia Practitioner and NANOE Nonprofit Consultant. She serves on the board of Women Giving of Spartanburg, the Kiwanis Club of Spartanburg, and the Shepherd’s Center of Spartanburg. A lifelong resident of Inman, she lives with her family—and more pets than she’d care to admit.
